Depending on your household income and number of dependents, you may be eligible for a subsidy. If you make more than the maximum amount shown in the 400% column for your household size, you will not qualify.
Individuals earning between 100 percent and 400 percent of the federal poverty level do not qualify for subsidies if they are eligible for other sources of minimum essential coverage, including government-sponsored programs such as Medicare and Medicaid.
People who earn less than 250 percent of the federal poverty line will receive additional assistance in the form of cost-sharing assistance. Cost sharing will limit the plan's maximum out-of-pocket costs. For some people, it will also reduce other cost-sharing amounts (i.e. deductibles, coinsurance or copayments) that they would otherwise have to pay.
If you are not sure if you qualify for cost sharing or a subsidy, take advantage of our financial assistance estimator. Visit Ask Blue, our online guide to help you find insurance that fits you and your budget.
